SUMMARY:“Mighty Mastodon” Program Scheduled at ND Heritage Center & State Museum
DESCRIPTION:Toddlers and preschoolers are invited to "Mighty Mastodon" at 10:30 a.m.\, Jan. 30\, at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. Participants will pretend to be mastodons and make a mastodon craft. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The program is part of "Little Kids\, Big World\," a free interactive learning series sponsored by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. These fun\, hands-on 30-minute programs introduce children to North Dakota's fascinating history from dinosaurs through today's ongoing story. The programs are led by Stephanie Schick\, a gallery guide at the ND Heritage Center & State Museum. She is a graduate of Northern Arizona University who previously worked as an educator at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in Dubuque\, Iowa. Schick\, who has a passion for history\, science\, and education\, loves to travel and has taught in schools in Kenya and Egypt.
