DESCRIPTION:WE Rise helps participants learn how to advocate for policies that enhance women's lives and how to participate in the lawmaking process. It provides opportunities to meet with lawmakers and network with other citizen advocates.\n\n \n\nThis free one-day event at the state capitol is sponsored by the North Dakota Women's Network (NDWN).\n\n\n\nWE Rise is offered every other year to correspond with the biennial legislative session. More than 200 women and men participated in the event in 2013.\n\n \n\nWE Rise is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and there is no cost to attend. A lunch will be provided along with the opportunity to dine with your legislator.
