Armed Forces Day Celebration
American Indian men and women from the Northern Plains have a long and distinguished history of serving in this nation?s military to defend our country and way of life. American Indians, more than any other minority group, have the highest rates of enlistment in the Armed Forces and have an accomplished track record of defending their homelands. In the spirit of honoring heroes and reconciliation, this historic event will bring together American Indian and non-Indian servicemen to be honored for their commitment to defending these lands and our way of life as we live together along this Missouri River. In this spirit of reconciliation, all servicemen and women will be recognized for their bravery and honor. We invite all those who have served in the Armed Forces to get involved in this momentous event!
