Burleigh County Extension Open House for Deb Johnson
The Burleigh County Extension staff wants to invite you to attend an open house at the Extension office in the 4-H building. We have a new staff member, Deb Johnson, Nutrition Education Assistant, Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) as well as Family Nutrition Program (FNP). She will be serving both Burleigh and Morton Counties focusing on low income audiences. Please join us on: Friday, July 29, 2016 from 8:30 10:30 a.m. Not enough food to last the month? EFNEP is a nutrition education program for families with young children who enroll in EFNEP and learn about healthy food choices, food safety and stretching the food dollar through a serious of lessons. Need some healthy low-cost recipes? FNP is a nutrition education program for individuals and families who are receiving or are eligible to receive supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP) benefits. FNP helps individuals and families select nutritious foods that fit within a limited budget. Debs programming will teach youth and adults how to improve their dietary and physical activity practices while becoming more effective managers of their available resources. If you have a question, we have resources to find you an answer!
