Need to update your museum’s collection management policy? Need to create a new policy? A free workshop to learn about industry standards and best practices for collection management policies and procedures will be offered to museum and historical society staffs on May 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce meeting room. Participants will learn how to update museum collection management policies, create new policies, and will work on actual documents. Attendees are encouraged to bring laptops, an existing collection management policy, or an outline. The collection management workshop is sponsored by the State Historical Society of North Dakota.
