Cookbook signing at arts festival
Chef and cookbook author Carole (Glaser) Sullivan, who has catered for President Obama and Martha Stewart, will be the guest artist at Bismarck's First Presbyterian Church's upcoming Fine Arts Festival. Sullivan, who now resides in Livingston, Mont., is a Bismarck native who graduated from Bismarck High School in 1979. Sullivan, who is the daughter of Gerald and Dorothy Glaser of Bismarck, learned to cook while living in Minneapolis before moving to Montana where she now owns her own catering and cafe company. Earlier in 2014, Sullivan published Gatherings: Friends and Recipes from Montana's Mustang Kitchen. The book is available on Amazon.com. Gatherings features photos of the celebrities, such as Jeff Bridges and Michael Keaton, who spend time in Sullivan's area of Montana and call on her to cater their holiday events. Sullivan will attend First Presbyterian Church's High Tea at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 20. She will be signing books at the event and books will be available to purchase. The church is in downtown Bismarck, at the northwest corner of Third Street and Thayer Avenue.
