Events are in the Russell Reid Auditorium unless otherwise noted. 11 a.m.: Building Opens to the Public. 11:15 a.m.: Opening Remarks and Ribbon Cutting in the Northern Lights Atrium. 12 p.m.: Book Reading by Becky Barnes -Prehistories: Dakota the Dinomummy. 12:30 p.m.: “The World of Dakota” by Jeff Person. 1 p.m.: “Preparing Dakota” by Becky Barnes. 1:30 p.m.: “Dakota’s Death and Preservation” by Dr. Stephanie Drumheller-Horton. 2 p.m.: Free Viewing of “The Land Before Time” (Rated G: 1988) -Introduction by NDGS Paleontologists. Other Activities 12-3:30 p.m.: Behind the Scenes Paleontology Lab Tours every 30 minutes. $5/person.
