The BCBSND Caring Foundation is holding a screening of "The Opioid Epidemic: Seeking Solutions in North Dakota" at 3 p.m. Thursday, November 16, at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck. The Caring Foundation partnered with Prairie Public Broadcasting to produce the 30-minute documentary, with additional support from Dakota Medical Foundation and Bell Bank. "The Opioid Epidemic" addresses the impact of opioid misuse and addiction on North Dakota communities, featuring personal stories, efforts to address the problem and calls to action. The Bismarck screening, co-hosted by the Mayors' Gold Star Community Task Force, is free and open to the public and will be followed by a discussion. Doors open at 2:30.
