DESCRIPTION:Do you have a family photograph collection to work on\, but don't know where to begin? We are here to help! Join the State Archives and North Dakota State Library staff for this hands-on workshop! We will teach you how to:   Number your photograph collection so you can easily find and scan photographs   Describe your photographs following professional standards   Create a simple system to search for people\, places\, and subjects in the collection   Scan and store your photographs. Please bring a representative sample of 15 photographs from your collection to get started. All formats - prints\, negatives\, slides\, etc.   are welcome! We also will scan part of your collection\, time permitting\, and send files home with you. Please note that participants will be required to have or create a Gmail account prior to the session. We will provide instructions for this process. The cost for the workshop is $10. Space is limited\, so reserve your place early at photocollection2.eventbrite.com.
