DESCRIPTION:NATIONAL SENIOR HEALTH & FITNESS DAY Your Missouri Valley Family YMCA is happy to once again host a community fair as we celebrate National Senior Health and Fitness Day. Beginning at 9am on Wednesday\, May 21\, the Y will host a special social event\, featuring area vendors\, door prizes\, educational sessions\, wellness screenings\, fitness demonstrations and much more. Event highlights include blood pressure\, bone density and cholesterol screenings\, speaker presentations about topics regarding improved living and independence relevant to older active adults\, and group classes like chair yoga\, water fitness and stretch and restore. Free and open to the community\, this National Senior Health and Fitness Day trade show will provide outstanding information\, resources and opportunities for seniors. For the week of May 19-23\, seniors are welcome to use the Y for free\, enjoy a wide variety of group fitness classes\, and participate in gatherings to include BINGO\, brain games and a potluck.
