Word Dances: Poetry in Motion is is a unique fusion of poetry\, dance\, and music that promotes healing and hope. The performance is based on a book of poetry recently published by dancer-poet Katie Bruckbauer of Fargo and illustrator Mary Jo Savageau of Bismarck. Their book\, Time to Soar: Word Dances and Bird Songs for Every Season\, is for people of all ages\, whether you read poetry or not. The relatable prose is whimsical\, profound\, and spiritually uplifting. Through birds and the change of seasons\, both the performance and book serve to process grief\, offer hope\, and bring people together through their common humanity.  Choreography by Bruckbauer and Barb Weiland of Park Rapids\, MN\, along with a small ensemble of dancers will bring the poetry to life.
