|An employee in this position performs professional level work in the field of community development and housing program administration requiring a broad understanding of community development principles and concepts and the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. This position is responsible for coordinating and administering programs funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development; conducting research, analyzing data and preparing plans and reports; evaluating applications and making funding recommendations; preparing funding requests and maintaining financial records; working directly with sub-recipients, local non-profit organizations and agencies, staff, developers, the general public, and various federal, state and local officials; and providing program and/or project administration. Work is performed with considerable independence in accordance with established standards and policies.
|This position requires a bachelor’s degree with major course work in planning, community development, public administration, or related field AND at least two (2) years of professional experience in planning or community development program administration OR any equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the position.|
|Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Dakota (Class D) is also required.|
