Job Description
40 hours per week

8:00am - 4:30pm; Monday through Friday

Flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends to meet donor and organization schedules and/or as determined by the Development Officer

Primary Job Function
  • To provide primary support to the foundation fundraising and communication process, and to the Missouri Slope company, including departmental organization, donor relations, marketing, community engagement, and event planning. Provides administrative support in an organized, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Utilize the donor database for management of client record-keeping, maximizing the software as an engagement and communication tool for outreach
  • Engage networks through social media and electronic communication methods for consistent messaging, coordination of company brand, and community outreach
  • Prepare press releases for company announcements of public interest
  • Arrange for photography of all company events and press coverage when appropriate
  • Create and strategize internal and external newsletters, assuring the corporate message is clearly communicated; including planning subject matter & articles, handling of the layout, and distribution of material, in collaboration with the Development Officer
  • Assist with direct mail campaigns
  • Coordinates and attends professional public appearances, promotional activities, and interactions as a representative of the company and foundation within the company
  • Research, analyze, and recommend new marketing opportunities; produce grant-related research; and assist the Development Officer in pursuing continual foundation growth opportunities
  • Plan and organize donor, staff, resident, and community events; including reserving facilities, catering, invitations & promotions, and equipment
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business administration, journalism, or related field required
  • Associate's degree in a related field & 3-5 years of related experience required
