Cycling History Highways
Join archaeologists and cyclists on Saturday, June 17 as we cycle the highway to history! Your adventure begins at Chief Lookings Village, travels over eight miles to Double Ditch Indian Village State Historic Site, and ends with the return trip to Chief Lookings Village. Participate in guided tours and historic presentations at both sites. Fun for all ages and skill levels! 7-8 a.m. Registration - $7 (pre-register at history.nd.gov/cycling) 8-8:45 a.m. Guided tour of Chief Lookings Village 8:45-9 a.m. Bicycle Safety Presentation 9-10:30 a.m. Cycle to Double Ditch Indian Village State Historic Site 10:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Historic Presentations and Walking Tours of Double Ditch Return to Chief Lookings Village Helmets are mandatory, and cyclists must provide their own bicycle.
