Free Learning Series, “Little Kids, Big World,”
BISMARCK - Toddlers and preschoolers are invited to a free interactive learning series, “Little Kids, Big World,” on Mondays at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. These fun, hands-on 30-minute programs will introduce children to North Dakota’s fascinating history—from dinosaurs through today’s ongoing story. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The series begins on Sept. 12, with “American Indian Games.” Participants will play traditional American Indian games including Hoop and Stick game, foot races, and more. Upcoming programs in the series include "Little Historian" on Sept. 19, with the participants learning what historians do and making their own historical document to keep; and “Dino Dimensions” on Sept. 26, where the children will learn how big some North Dakota dinosaurs were and how they compare in size. Participants are asked to meet at the east entrance information desk at the ND Heritage Center and State Museum. For more information, contact Erik Holland, 701.328.2792.
