The Little Black Dress Campaign is a poverty awareness event led by the United Way Women's Leadership Circle. One hundred participants will wear one black dress or outfit during the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 2 to illustrate the effects poverty can have on one's access to resources, confidence and ability to obtain employment. Join WLC members, campaign participants and friends at the ND Heritage Center for the Little Black Dress Campaign Celebration. Enjoy appetizers and cocktails while socializing, bidding on silent auction items, learning about the work of the WLC and celebrating the results of the campaign. Last year the campaign raised $58,000 for the United Way Education Initiative.
