Join us for a free film screening of "Suffragette" (starring Helena Bonham Carter and Meryl Streep) to celebrate Women's History Month! The film traces the Suffrage Movement in the United Kingdom and "those who risked all they had for women’s right to vote – their jobs, their homes, their children, and even their lives." Dr. Barbara Handy-Marchello will discuss the connection of the Suffrage Movement in the United Kingdom and in North Dakota. This event is sponsored by the State Historical Society of North Dakota, the North Dakota Woman Suffrage Centennial Committee, and the Bismarck Human Relations Committee.
