Join us at the Former Governors’ Mansion State Historic Site on Thursday, March 28, at 7 p.m. as Aaron Barth discusses why the site is one of the contributing resources of the heritage of the Missouri River and the Northern Plains National Heritage Area. Barth is the executive director of the Missouri Valley Heritage Alliance/Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation. The Society for the Preservation of the Former Governors’ Mansion recently received grants from the Northern Plains Heritage Foundation for an outdoor interpretive sign and to assist with the replacement of the cedar shingle roof at the Former Governors’ Mansion.
