This session is part of an interactive program that introduces middle school students to careers at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. "Museum Underground" sessions help participants think about their own skills and interests as they learn about careers in museums. Students talk with museum professionals and tour behind-the-scene spaces that are typically not open to the public. Programs are sponsored by the State Historical Society of North Dakota and are led by Stephanie Schick, a gallery guide at the ND Heritage Center & State Museum. She is a graduate of Northern Arizona University who previously worked as an educator at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in Dubuque, Iowa. Schick, who has a passion for history, science, and education, loves to travel and has also taught at schools in Kenya and Egypt.
