Central Dakota Children's Choir presents "Echoes - 25 Years of Singing
Central Dakota Children’s Choir will present their 25th annual Spring Concerts on Friday, May 19th and Saturday, May 20th at 7:00pm at the Belle Mehus Auditorium. The concerts are sponsored by Starion Bank and made possible via funding from Capital City Christmas and ND Council on the Arts. Reserved seating is available online or by calling the choir office. General admission at the door is $15 for adults and $12 for senior citizens and students. General admission for children ages 2-5 is $5 and babies in arms are free. General admission tickets purchased in advance receive a $2/ticket discount. Tickets available at www.aboutcdcc.org, by calling 258-6516 and at the choir office. General admission tickets, if available, may also be purchased at the door the day of the event. Each of the five choirs that compose Central Dakota Children’s Choir will perform on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday only CDCC’s pre-choir, Singing for 2nd Graders, and 1st grade music class, Treble Makers, will also perform. As part of the 25th season celebration, the CDCC combined choir will present the premiere performance of “And We Will Have Music,” composed and conducted by Dr. Tom Porter. Formed in 1998, CDCC has grown from one choir of 65 students to five choirs and a pre-choir. This year, there are over 300 singers in grades 1 - 12 from 52 public, private, and home schools from central North Dakota participating. The choirs perform for more than 12,000 people in the tri-state area each year and have been invited to perform at many local, state, and regional events. The choirs are directed by Teri Fay, Michael Seil, Dawn Hagerott, and Jim McMahon and accompanied by Carol Huck and Beth Weiss.
