Auditions for Hay Fever

Hay Fever is a fun, farcical comedy about an eccentric family with a flair for the dramatic. We are searching for 9 actors willing to work to create these bold, vivacious characters and have a great time doing it. We will be holding auditions on Sunday, March 6, 2016 by advance appointment ? call or email for a time (701-258-4998, artdir@dakotastageltd.com) and to receive audition sides from the show. Auditioners will be asked to read the sides presented as well as perform various other cold readings from the script and movement based characterizations. Invited call backs will be on Tuesday, March 8. We will be casting 4 adult males and 5 adult females. A full rehearsal calendar will be available for viewing during the auditions. The following roles will be cast: Judith Bliss: David Bliss's wife and Sorel and Simon's mother, Judith Bliss is a recently retired actress, although she still loves to act and keeps insisting she will return to her craft David Bliss: Judith Bliss's husband and Sorel and Simon's father, David Bliss is a novelist of some acclaim Sorel Bliss: Judith and David's daughter, bored with most of life Simon Bliss: Judith and David?s son, a would-be artist Myra Arundel: Simon's invited houseguest Richard Greatham: Sorel's invited houseguest, a proper English diplomat Jackie Coryton: David's invited houseguest, "a perfectly sweet flapper" Sandy Tyrell: Judith's invited houseguest, a young boxer Clara: The housekeeper AUDITIONS - Sunday, March 6, 2016 - by appointment only INVITED CALL BACKS ?
