"Farming for the Bottom Line" Conference
The 2016 Farming for the Bottom Line Conference will be held on March 1st at the Bismarck State College National Energy Center of Excellence (NECE). Registration begins at 9:30 AM. Presenters will be: Frayne Olson, NDSU Ag Economist (Will I Ever See Good Prices Again?),
Andy Swenson, NDSU Extension Economist (Characteristics of Profitable North Dakota Farms),
Dave Archer, USDA-ARS Ag Economist (Lessons from the Area 4 SCD Cooperative Research Farm),
Adnan Akyuz, North Dakota Climatologist (The Impact of Weather in North Dakota 2016 Farm Production),
David Toledo, USDA-ARS Rangeland Management Specialist
Mark Liebig, USDA-ARS Soil Specialist (LTAR: Creating Databases that Deliver Knowledge for Improved Management),
Gary Goreham, NDSU Rural Sociologist (Rural Community and Family Resilience),
and the Al Gustin Farm Management Panel.
The free program was developed by the Area 4 SCD Research Farm, USDA-ARS Northern Great Plains Research Laboratory, NDSU Cooperative Extension Service, NDSU Agricultural Experiment Stations, NRCS, Bismarck State College, and supported by over 70 sponsors.
