Sensational Sunday: The Prairie Post Office: Enlarging the Common Life in Rural North Dakota
The Prairie Post Office: Enlarging the Common Life in Rural North Dakota is a presentation based on a book by the same name. After a brief history of mail delivery in Dakota Territory, the presentation will use photos and interviews with postal employees and community members to highlight the critical roles of post offices in rural North Dakota communities. Amy Phillips is a member of the Minot State University faculty and teaches social work courses in a dual degree program at North Dakota State University in Fargo. Steve Bolduc is an economist by training and is on the faculty of Minnesota State University Moorhead.
