YMCA Youth Triathlon

Missouri Valley Family YMCA proudly presents fun and challenging Youth Triathlon on Saturday, August 24th beginning at 9am. The Y invites all area young people, ages 6-16, to join us for a non-competitive swim, bike and run, where finishers will find a strong sense of accomplishment, pride and purpose in their achievements. Participants will enjoy this exciting 50 yard swim, 2 mile bike and ½ mile run, and will receive a medal signifying their success as soon as they cross the finish line. Completion times will be posted in the days following the event. Each age group will compete in different heats, and their times will be measured in those age groups. The youngest swimmers may wear life jackets for the swim, and race alongside their parents. All bikers must wear a helmet, and Scheels mechanics will be on site to fix and inspect bikes. Parents must be present with their children at the event. Registration is $15 per person and is now open online. All proceeds from the Youth Triathlon benefit Y for All community programs, including Livestrong at the YMCA, Parkinson’s Wellness, Safety Around Water, Childcare Scholarships and Membership Financial Assistance. All money raised directly supports the health and wellness of youth, seniors and families, right here in Bismarck Mandan.
