Commercial Loan Administrator I/II (Bismarck, ND)
BNC National Bank in Bismarck, ND is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Loan Administrator (Level I–II) to support our Commercial Lending team. This role is ideal for individuals with foundational to intermediate experience in commercial or business banking who are looking to grow their skills in loan administration, documentation, and portfolio support.
Working closely with Commercial Lenders, this position plays an important role in ensuring accurate loan processing, documentation, and ongoing servicing throughout the life of the loan.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities (dependent on hiring level)
- Input, update, and retrieve data within loan system applications
- Prepare and review commercial loan documentation
- Attach and verify pledged collateral; review title work and related documentation
- Record legal documents and follow up on required documentation
- Collect and review customer financial information and monitor tickler items
- Assist with construction draw requests, including reviewing inspections, invoices, and lien waivers
- Communicate with customers, contractors, title companies, and other banks
- Prepare letters of credit and amendments, calculate fees, and assist with monthly fee summaries
- Review and process real estate title work
- Maintain accurate and organized loan files
- Support pre-closing and post-closing activities
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in business banking, commercial lending, loan administration, portfolio administration, or a related field
- Basic to intermediate understanding of commercial loan documentation and processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
