Laundry Shuttle Driver

Summary/Objective

As member of the laundry team, a laundry shuttle driver will report to the Laundry Manager. A laundry shuttle driver will have primary day-to-day responsibility to wash, dry, organize laundry, and complete routine tasks necessary to drive the TRMF laundry to the different properties.  

 

Essential Functions

  • Drive the company laundry truck to transport linens and towels. 
  • Responsible for loading, washing, and neatly folding towels, sheets, rags, linens, and other laundered items. 
  • Learn to operate and pull the machines correctly and safely.  
  • Chemically treats stained linens. 
  • Assist in cleaning the laundry facility at the end of the day which may include: 
  • Sweeping. 
  • Dusting and or wiping/disinfecting. 
  • Mopping. 
  • Report any maintenance items to the supervisor. 
  • Ensure vehicle equipment such as brakes, lights, windshield wipers, etc., is maintained and operating properly, and reports safety concerns (low tire, oil change, light maintenance needed, etc.) to TRMF immediately when a problem starts occurring. 
  • Fill up the gas at the maintenance shop whenever the tank is below half. 
  • Participate in workplace safety meetings.  
  • Promote sales of events and services by providing all guests with enthusiastic and accurate information for these offerings. 
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with TRMF values.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Required Education and Experience

  • Must give exceptional service to all guests.  
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and create solutions if needed.  
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. 
  • Applicable state licensing and certification required. 
  • Must be comfortable driving large vehicles. 
  • Must be able to follow directions. 
  • Must be flexible and willing to work until tasks are completed.
  • This position requires knowledge and safe operation of laundry equipment.  
  • Must be fluent in English, bilingual a plus. 
 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to; to talk or hear, walk, and stand. The employee frequently is required to push, pull, and bend over, crouch, kneel, have repetitive use of hands/arms, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds at times. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned and determine safety of workplace surroundings.
