Position Purpose:

This position provides housekeeping services for the headquarters offices and associated buildings. Work hours will also range from 5:30AM through 6:00PM, working an eight-hour shift. A typical day will be 5:30AM - 2:00PM, 6:00AM - 2:30PM, or 8:30AM - 5:00PM. This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may involve physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber-related assets or systems.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain assigned office locations. May require varied locations and schedules. Perform general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned property.
  • Assist with all aspects of building housekeeping including, but not limited to: vacuuming, window cleaning, and restroom cleaning. Pick up and empties trash containers, clean and disinfect kitchenettes and dining area, and use a cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.
  • Required to work rotating holidays, when applicable.
  • Clean associated headquarters buildings, including the Menoken Transmission System Maintenance (TSM) shop, JL Building, and hangar.
  • Assist with deliveries or stocking of housekeeping supplies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED).
  • Two years of housekeeping/custodial related experience.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Good attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Knowledge in the use of cleaning tools and supplies.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Resume required.

Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching below shoulder level, and pushing/pulling up to 75 pounds; and occasional sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, reaching above shoulder level, crawling, and use of keyboard/computer. The incumbent must be able to operate a motor vehicle. This position requires the ability to perform close work, good hearing and vision, and the ability to speak. The incumbent works frequently in conditions of extreme heat/cold, and occasionally around dirt/dust, fumes, chemicals, noise, and poor ventilation.
