1st Geer Driving School
1st Geer Driving School was started in 2012 to fill a need in the Bismarck/Mandan communities when owner, Jed Geer, was trying to get his oldest child into a driving school. Due to the wait time being quite long, he thought about the possibility of starting another deriving school in the area. What it has grown into today is way more that he could have imagined.
Each year, 1st Geer teaches about 450-550 students. Recently they added an online program under the Road Test Waiver program that allows students that are proficient in their behind-the-wheel instruction to take a 30 hour online course that bypasses their road test with the drivers license division at the Capitol. The hope is to some day soon teach this course in a live classroom setting once it is safe enough to do so.
Another unique quality of 1st Geer is that many of his employees are firemen. This has been a great fit for the company as these individuals are professional, understand safety and have seen their share of vehicle crashes while on the clock for the fire department.
At 1st Geer, we are confident that students will leave our course more confident and safer behind-the-wheel of a vehicle.
